The colour of beeswax comes from the flowers the bees visited, so it changes with the season and the apiary. We do not bleach or dye it, so no two batches are exactly alike.

That is bloom, a natural sign of pure beeswax. It is harmless and wipes away with a soft cloth. More about bloom.

No. Beeswax is made by bees. We buy it from beekeepers who only take the surplus wax after the honey harvest, so the hive is never short.

Some essential oils are not good for cats and dogs in closed rooms. If you have pets, choose an unscented candle and burn it in a ventilated room.

Every product page lists the burn time: from about 10 hours for each taper to about 100 hours for the tall pillar. Beeswax burns slower than other waxes.

Let it burn for longer next time, until the melt pool reaches the edge. For a pillar, gently press the warm outer wall inwards. See Candle care.

Beeswax burns cleanly, with very little soot and no petroleum by-products. We do not make medical claims beyond that.
